Me vs Me

Well since the childhood I heard a constant thing i.e. I’m not using my full potential. To an extend they were right. But this was a fact that others knew but the reason they did not. This blog is mainly about those reasons mainly. Remembering that time, I guess they were right on their behalf. I mean what do you expect from a 11 year old. To be physically active, do well in studies right? Well since the time I could recall I’ve always been a student who liked to imagine things. Hence was brilliant in Drawing and all. Unknowingly I had a keen interest in Mathematics, in question paper i could tell the question no exercise no, chapter name, page no from where the question had been asked. Yeah at one point of time i had that good memory.

After reading this you might ask, what changed. Firstly my only interest was mathematics so I performed well in it. But used to get average score in other subjects. Main reason being I got distracted. Like other teenagers it became a necessity for me to be socially cool, undermining the studies. During the later years, that is my late teenage years. When I regained my senses and realized the importance of studies, I had more become like imagining person. I mean I used to create a picture of topics in my mind. Don’t think that I got academically brilliant, I was still the same. But finally I started enjoying the studies. I used to feel myself finally.

Talking about another related situation, why do I need to put a facade in front of people. Why do I have to look happy and behave properly in front of others. Why is it such a mess if a child expresses his or her mood in front of others. Its not we’re being rewarded. At the end of the cycle the others are going to be the one who will mentally beat your child down for their own greed. I mean when I realized that putting my argument in front of my elder is impoliteness, I was shocked. I guess this is the way how you learn things, the hard way.

It was good, my childhood. No responsibilities, had all the time to play and play. Was more close to family. Didn’t had time to think and overthink about anything. Eat, play and sleep: the golden rule of every child.

Perhaps the saying is right at the end: Change is a universal constant.
